Club Rules & Conditions
  • LBSDRC Officials and Stewards accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to property belonging to competitors, grooms or spectators or their person.

  • Correctly secured skull caps/riding hats (to standards: PAS015, VG1, ATSM F1163 04a onwards. The new BSEN standard will be allowed once approved and finalised) MUST be warn by riders at all times when mounted.

  • Colts 3 years and over and stallions must be bitted.

  • Stallions and colts to be led by persons over 14 years of age only.

  • The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry, cancel a class, or amalgamate classes without prior notice or reduced prizes if insufficient entries.

  • No persons other then Show Officials and Competitors are allowed in the rings.

  • Ages of competitors in the shows shall be taken from 1st January in the current year.

  • The Judge's decision is final on all points.

  • Objections must be handed to the Show Secretary or their Assistant at the show secretary's caravan within thirty minutes of the class with a £20 DEPOSIT, which is refundable if the objection is upheld.

  • No Horse or Pony under the age of 4 years old may compete in any ridden classes.

  • Members must produce their valid LBSDRC membership card in order to purchase entries at the reduced members rates.

  • All dogs must be kept on leads.

  • No cantering or galloping is allowed on the Showground except in designated warm-up areas.

  • All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible person whilst on the Showground.

  • All exercising and lunging to be done in the designated warm-up areas.

  • Acceptance of these Rules is a condition of entry.

  • All competitors/handlers must hold a valid LBSDRC membership or provide proof of insurance if you intend attending. No responsibility is taken by LBSDRC, the Landowner or members for personal injury or loss.

  • When required qualification cards must be presented to the judge for signing by the rider/handler in the ring at the time of judging for qualifications to remain valid.

  • Handlers under the 16 years of age MUST wear a correctly fitting skull cap/riding hat when leading horses or ponies for in hand classes.

  • Any class may be split if sufficient entries.
